KELLY MAUCK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Kelly J. Mauck, 42 died January 26, 2008 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Kelly was born to parents Cliff and Joanne (Archer) Mauck in Springfield, Ohio. She grew up in Niagara, Wisconsin and graduated from Niagara High School.

Kelly graduated from UW Stevens Point in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and a minor in mathematics. She began teaching with the BRF School District in 1995. In 1997 Kelly received her Master of Arts degree in education from Viterbo University. At the time of her death, Kelly was teaching at BRF Middle School.

Kelly was a very dedicated, enthusiastic educator. She was extremely passionate about her role as a teacher and truly cared about each and every one of her students. She was a member of the BRF Education Association and was serving as Secretary-Treasurer of that organization at the time of her death.
Outside of teaching, Kelly had a wide variety of talents and interests. She loved caring for her two poodles, Bailey and Chloe. She enjoyed cooking, especially candy making, which she learned from her mother. She would often donate candy that she had made as a fundraiser fr school activities. English toffee, mind fudge and caramels were some of her specialties.

Kelly also enjoyed gardening and landscaping her home with plants and flowers. She was an avid reader of mystery novels and she liked to listen to uplifting music, both contemporary and gospel. She also enjoyed taking trips to Idaho to visit her brother and his family.

Upon her death, her family could think of nothing more fitting than to use her many memorial gifts to create a Scholarship in her honor.

  • Payment(s) to the selected recipient(s) will be made directly to the university/college financial aid office.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Be a graduate or alumni of Black River Falls High School

  • Application forms and additional Instructions can be obtained from Black River Falls High School.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Selection will be made by the Black River Falls Scholarship committee.
